Your voice is a musical instrument that will get better with solid training. That’s where voice lessons come in! A good teacher will help your voice become flexible so you can sing with ease, expression, and joy in any musical genre. Voice lessons will help you to find strength and depth in your voice and confidence in your ability to sing anything handed to you.
I focus on teaching musical theatre, contemporary, and classical voice. I specialize in building voices from the ground up and preparing singers for auditions, performances, and college admissions auditions.
Some of my students’ accomplishments are listed below:
- Been accepted to colleges and universities
- Been accepted into State and Regional choirs
- Been called back for national tours
- Performed lead roles in school and regional musicals
- Performed at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall
- Successfully completed the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations
- Confidently performed at recitals, concerts, and sporting events
What happens at voice lessons?
In your first lesson, we will identify what factors are holding you back from feeling and sounding your best, and then develop an individualized practice and warm-up routine to address your specific needs. Over time, you will learn to sing with healthy vocal technique, which we usually do through vocal and breathing exercises. We will work on songs which are appropriate for your age and skill level that will allow us to put your technique into practice. You will be coached for auditions, roles in shows, public performances, or even karaoke night. Most importantly, you will gain confidence in your voice and abilities and be able to use your voice the way you want to!

“We would HIGHLY recommend Jessica Walch for voice lessons. Our daughter has the opportunity to take lessons with her and LOVES it! Jessica is able to challenge her, support her, and inspire while having fun and building her confidence as a singer. Jessica is highly skilled in her job. She gives the parents feedback and can work with beginners and experts alike. Our daughter can be shy and Jessica’s approach with her is gentle and kind. She has made our daughter come out of her shell. Our daughter is always singing. Jessica has taught her to read notes and work on her breathing while singing. Do yourself a favor and sign up with Jessica. You will not be disappointed. ” – A.B.
